Services and Pricing

All services at Groom'n Time are complete services. Your pet doesn't receive "just a bath" or "just a clipdown". At the time of your dog's appointment, your dog's skin and coat will be evaluated to determine what type of shampoo and conditioner would be most appropriate. All dogs receive a puppy facial, with a tearless facial wash. After being towel dried with a microfiber towel, your pet is dried with a method appropriate for the pet and his/her coat. Special music for created dogs may by playing in the spa to facilitate relaxation and stress-free grooming.

For pets not requiring a haircut, appropriate grooming tools are used to brush, comb, detangle, deshed, and otherwise make your pet look and feel great. Shedding is greatly decreased, long coats are soft and fluffy, short coats are bright and shiny - you won't want to take your hands off of him/her!

Of course, on all dogs nails are clipped, ears are cleaned, feet, pads, and "private" areas are trimmed as needed, and finishing touches (bows, bandanas, etc) are included.

With styling, your dog can receive any number of different trim types. After being dried, brushed and combed, your pet will be styled to suit the lifestyle of you and your pet. Some of the option include an outline trim, low maintenance haircut, breed styling, cute and fluffy (sometimes called a puppy clip), or a style designed just for your pet - maybe a mowhawk, lion clip, or booties would suit your dog. Clippers, shears (many different types), and a variety of other grooming tools will be used to achieve the perfect look for your pet. Your dog will leave the spa feeling great, and wanting to show off the new look to everyone.

For those that desire even more pampering for their pet, there are a number of additional services available with grooming packages.

Oodles of Poodles and Doodles:  There are many Specialty Breeds and Mixed Breeds that require extra time and care for grooming.  This includes Standard Poodles, Logotto Romagnolos, Portugese Water Dogs, and the variety of Doodles.  These breeds need to be scheduled in a time slot that allows enough time to wash, condition, and blow dry the dog before allowing him/her a break before the brushing, combing, clipping, and scissoring.  Whether you are looking to get a breed standard trim, or have a particular look in mind for your purebred or Doodle, Tammie will work with you to find a trim that works for you and your dog!

Keep in mind, the longer the desired haircut, the more often the dog needs to be groomed and the more between grooming maintenance must be done at home (and the more costly the grooming price).  Dogs with shorter haircuts (3/4" or less) can usually go 4-8 weeks between grooming.  Dogs with longer clips (over 3/4") may need grooming every 3-6 week.  Actual grooming charges for Specialty Breeds is based on the hands on grooming time needed to complete the groom.  This is the most fair way to price breeds with such a variety of sizes, coat types, and grooming requirements.  NOTE:  There may be an added fee for Doodles and Poodles that don't stay on a minimum 10 week schedule this accounts for the extra time, product, and work involved in dogs that have grown out their hairstyle.

Pricing Estimates

Bath Packages include the bath with an appropriate shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, brush out, deshedding, sanitary trim if needed, feet trim if needed, nail trim, and ear cleaning.  Bath appointments are for dogs that don't require their body hair cut (Pomeranians, Beagles, Labs, Golden Retrievers).  Minor trimming of long hair on the legs/rear may be done if desired.

Haircut Packages include all of the above bath services, as well as clipping/scissoring the entire dog.

Specialty Breed (Doodles, Standard Poodles, etc) pricing is the starting price and can vary greatly depending on how long the desired service takes (varies based on style desired, condition of hair at the time of appointment, behavior of the dog and size of the dog).

Bath and Neaten is for dogs that usually receive a haircut coming back within 4 weeks to get a bath and face/feet/rear trim between full haircuts.  This can also be used for dogs growing their hair out as long as the dog goes no longer that 4 weeks between appointments.

Pricing varies depending on the size of the dog, condition of the dogs coat, behavior of the pet, and services desired. The above prices are guidelines for pets of average size and behavior, groomed on a regular basis (every 4-10 weeks depending on haircut length).  Dogs going more than 10 weeks between appointments may have an additional charge for the extra time and product it takes to groom the dog.

Your pet's health and safety are always an upmost concern at Groom'n Time. Please let me know of any specific concerns you have for your pet and I will do my best to work with their special needs.  Elderly, behaviorally challenged, disabled, or pets that become overly stressed while grooming, may require special handling which can be discussed when booking an appointment.

Note: While I do want to do my best to achieve the look desired by the owner, if a dogs coat is matted or tangled, for the comfort and well-being of the dog, it is best to start over with the coat. While the pet will have a short "do" this time, it will be much easier to get the brushing routine under control. Then we can schedule regular grooming appointments at intervals that will make the style you want for your pet a possibility.
